Unique. Simple. Limitless.

Hybrid Tower: the Design Concept
Harnessing the power of the wind efficiently would be virtually impossible without the use of hub heights reaching over 100 metres tall, especially inland. For this reason, Fuhrländer has incorporated the VENTUR hybrid tower from the Siegen-based manufacturer Drössler GmbH into its new FL 3000 turbine for the very first time.
VENTUR is a pre-stressed, prefabricated tower construction. It is crafted using a cutting edge prefabricated climbable assembly methodin which upwardly tapered wall elements are mounted in a staggered arrangement based on modular design principles.
The individual elements, most of which are no more than 3 metres wide and 10 metres long, are positioned in a regular polygonal base frame and can be transported to the erection site cost-effectively and with minimal logistical effort.
The use of pre-stressed concrete, minimizes the dependence on individual raw materials, therefore allowing for pricing stability and an accelerated energy return time. Pre-stressing the concrete also prevents the formation of cracks.
The fortified cement “Resocret” combines durability with efficiency, curtailing production times and achieving durable and aesthetically appealing results in a bright exposed concrete finish.
The hybrid tower of the Fuhrländer FL 3000
3 MW turbine stands at a height of 140 metres with its rotor spanning 120 metres. The design concept offers good wind yields, even at low wind speeds.
