Condition Monitoring System (CMS)

The CMS is an oscillation monitor of important components to detect irregularities early on. The broadband accelerations at main bearings, gears and generators are collected by sensors.

Algorithms in the time and frequency range are available as evaluation method. The advantage of the parameters evaluated in the frequency range is a clear, component-specific machine diagnosis, which supplies clear recommendations for action in connection with continued plant operation.

The ongoing collection of measuring data is supervised online and can be analysed in the sense of providing support for early detection of possible problems - to obtain predictions on component condition, wear properties and on further operating forecasts.

Monitored Components

The system primarily monitors the drive train – i.e. rotor bearing, gear and generator including the appertaining bearings. The following table reveals the sensor concept for the FL 2500.

With the corresponding installation the Condition Monitoring System provides early information on the change of condition of the monitored components.
