Continuing through Training
Continuing education opens opportunties and gives wings to jobs in the working world

Fuchskaute offered a platform for a joint appeal: The Montbaur employment agency, Fuhrländer AG, and Peter Joppich, world fencing champion, supported a nation-wide qualifications campaign. (L to R) Heike Strack, Montbaur’s head, Peter Joppich, Chariman Joachim Fuhrländer, and mayor of the Rennerod Community, Werner Daum.
Wings on Continuing Eduction: This was the slogan for the national German “Continuing through Education” campaign through which the Federal Agency for Labor supported the federal government’s qualification campaign. They symbol is a butterfly, pushing itself out of the sluggish caterpillar and unfolding its wings.
In this region, the employment agency Montbaur has taken the initiative for education – together with a partner that meets the slogan: Fuhrländer AG, one of the largest group-independent producers of wind power systems, today presented the „stage“ in Willingen/Oberwesterwald for an event with many business and political guests. Peter Joppich, the world fencing champion, was the keynote speaker. Their common message: Life-long learning is indispensable and benefits both employers and employees.
Heike Strack, the head of the Montbaur employment agency, thanked Fuhrländer AG’s Chairman Joachim Fuhrländer for his spontaneous willingness to host this campaign. “We couldn’t have found a better partner – not only because of the mission statement but in particular because of its business philosophy. Because we have worked together so well over the years, we know that they provide above-average training and dedicate themselves especially to young individuals who – to keep the theme – don’t fly over things. The importance of their continuing education is evidenced through the foundation of the Fuhrländer Academy which is aimed at qualifying employees, customers, and business partners.”
The head of the agency presented the results of a research survey that was conducted on behalf of the Federal Agency for Labor, and stated: “For many years people thought they could dispense with continuing education – with the thought: Those that obtain continuing education show their good will but they are missing from daily operations. But times are changing. In the meantime, nine out of ten business leaders value continuing education and say that they think it is important or very important.” Here many business leaders would find special appeal: Of those employers that provide their employees with continuing education, 75 percent assume the costs. Just as many business leaders guarantee long-term job security. As part of the process, 1000 decision-makers in the area of continuing education and human resources development in German companies were surveyed.
Joachim Fuhrländer underscored the importance of qualified employees for his company: “We emphasize quality and continuing education for our employees, because the knowledge and ability workers in our company are the most important raw materials for us to rely on. The company employs approximately 500 employees and confronts the lack of specialist with specifically geared education and continuing education programs.
Already during their orientation phase, Fuhrländer AG offers new employees qualification measures – that allows them to obtain the security they need to fulfill their duties in the best way possible. Joachim Fuhrländer: “Humans must be willing to face the change areas of compentency, tasks, and employment fields. In the process, no one is left on their own.”
“The person who is willing to unfold his personal potential and to allow it to fully grow, will be able to profit.” Peter Joppich, fives times the world fencing champion, compared his sports experience with the world of work as follows: “It pays off to dedicate oneself fully to the tasks and to give your utmost.” |
